The Cooperative Extension Service is a network for educators who extend university-based knowledge to the public. The Cooperative Extension provides information and/or instruction on almost everything from growing tomatoes and raising chickens in your back yard, to livestock and forest management. The cooperative extension also provide classes on new techniques to effectively manage your water, alternative energy, advances in biotechnology, and marketing tips for your organic crops. WSU-Spokane County Extension programs also focus on building the capacity of individuals, organizations, businesses and communities to find solutions for local issues.
