SOUND BATH & YOGA MEDITATION
Enjoy a super special Sound healing event at BUB Café with our friends, Jessica Sanchez, Laura chernicky, and Becky Gallo-Wensel utilizing their skills in gong wash, breath work, and yoga to create a sound journey of well-being!
It's been proven that music and certain frequencies promote a healthy chemical release in the brain to allow for healing of physical wounds, release of pain in chronic pain situations, and even improving stimulating certain areas of the brain by improving cognitive function and memory.
While these seem like broad stroke claims, think of the ways in which we utilize music every day to boost our moods: to get us pumped while exercising to help release healthy endorphins, when we go out dancing with friends there is flood of happy serotonin and dopamine to make you feel high and alive, and even playing the right music can make you feel all lovey-dovey and in da mooood with a release of oxytocin!
The right calming and healing frequencies can also be reached to promote a decrease in heart rate, and along with healthy breathing techniques stimulate the parasympathetic nervous systems response and recovery time.
It has even be found that sedative music is an effective form of meditation and stimulation for the vagus nerve (that governs our Flight, Fight, Freeze response) which is essential to our body's homeostasis.
Especially for folks who struggle with more traditional forms of Meditation, ya know the sit-stay-try-not-to-think kind? THIS is an excellent opportunity to delve into a new way to meditate that might help to quiet your body's Parasympathetic nervous system in a way that is more accessible to YOU!
We will offer a night of 30-45 mins of light yoga, where our guests will help you wind down into a savasana, or resting pose. Wherein they will begin your sound healing journey, with gong wash, singing bowls, rain-sticks, and gentle scent of lavender from Jess' own apothecary, which will also last about 30-45 mins.
The ticket price for this event is $50 dollars
This includes:
-1 calming cbd beverage before we begin
-1 lavender sleep mask
-a swag bag for joining us on this awesome journey this month!
What you need to bring:
-Your own mat, yoga mat (we will not be able to supply one if you have forgotten)
-Any supports, like blocks or ropes, to help you individually be the most comfortable you can be
-A blanket or light cover
-Comfortable, light, loose-fitting clothing.
