Bad Bar Good Opera
Bad Bar Good Opera stems from a vision that Seattle local Dora Barnes had of bringing opera to the masses in a relaxed and informal setting, making opera accessible to everyone. A space where anyone could grab a drink and experience opera up close and personal as well as a platform for emerging opera singers to have a stage to perform on for others. So come on out and join us as we perform famous arias, duets and trios as well as group numbers. Explore opera in a fun and engaging way, and feel free to hoop and holler!

Dora Barnes - Dora is a singer/songwriter based in the Seattle area. Her sound is inspired by artists that have been a huge part of her musical life: Tori Amos, Regina Spektor, Elton John, and Fiona Apple to name a few. Dora writes mostly from lived experiences; love, loss and relationships. Her music is described as ethereal, haunting and full of emotion with a pop feel and sound. She accompanies herself on keys and often includes a looper in her live performances which she weaves into her compositions. Her band includes Patrick Fry (guitar/bass) and Michael Green (drums).
Dear Ellinore From opera to...country rock? Close the night with the introduction of Dear Ellinore, featuring Bryan Daisley (guitar, vocal), Jack Parker (drums) and Jaymes Dunlap (bass, vocal). Influenced by groups like Jason Isbell and Tedeschi Trucks, Dear Ellinore draws from the storytelling side of country and the gritty, powerful sound of PNW rock to create a sound that falls somewhere between genres.
