Train with Pride with Luis Herrera and NYCGMC

NYCGMC Membership Fundraising Drive presents an exercise class for all levels with personal trainer and founder of Train with Pride, Luis Herrera. This pay-what-you-will class will benefit NYCGMC and help support the arts, keeping our voices loud and proud! Join us on November 7, from 11am - 12 noon.

From Luis:
Welcome! My name is Luis Herrera. I am a proud, Gay, Puerto Rican, fitness enthusiast and professional actor living in New York City. I've taught with cardio dance expert Broadway Bodies and have been creating virtual training sessions with corporate companies such as Heartbeat Ideas. For the last four months I've been creating workouts for my own company, Train with Pride. I created Train with Pride to empower our community during the COVID-19 pandemic, to take control of their health and fitness during these difficult times. At the beginning of the pandemic, I was rehearsing for Sesame Street Live Tour. Due to COVID, the tour was cancelled, I was left with no job and even worse no gym! My anxiety and stress went through the roof but I found strength and peace through at-home workouts and helping my own family with their own fitness goals. In a small, one bedroom apartment in Orlando, FL, I began training and showing my family how they could also find ways to train at home and achieve balance through fitness. This inspired me so much that I decided to bring this idea back with me to NYC and motivate others to do the same! So now here we are, November 2020, and I invite you to join Train with Pride! Where together, we can achieve your fitness goals and create a healthier and more active tomorrow that we can all take pride in, right from the comfort of your own home.
