Winter Medicinal Plant ID Walk
Bundle up and join us for this winter plant walk at Fauntleroy Park in West Seattle! We'll learn to identify different pines by smell, examine emerging buds, take a peek at the insistent green sprouts that are found even in December, and breathe the cool winter air. This is a great way to get out of the house and connect with nature in this dark season.
- Dress as warm as humanly possible. I mean two pairs of socks, snow boots, scarf, hat, gloves (maybe two?), ski jacket, long Johns... don't leave anything out. Your experience will be the best if you're warm and cozy.
- Please BRING A MUG. I will be serving a hot herbal beverage. I haven't decided yet, but I'm thinking spruce hot chocolate (vegan and gluten free of course).
- We'll meet at the north end of Fauntleroy Park on SW Barton and SW Henderson St. at this pin: https://goo.gl/maps/p94eFuqN9F42
- Please make sure you know where we're meeting, because there are several entrances to this park.
Grab your tickets beforehand with the link.
