The Professor Carl Nivale Show
TV's Professor Carl Nivale & Grand Marshal Marty Graw leave the studio to appear live on the Lagniappe stage at Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts in a new production for a limited three day engagement! The Professor Carl Nivale Show featuring Grand Marshal Marty Graw brings us back to their alma mater, Kings College of Carnival Knowledge. Two reporters from up North have gotten inside the college to find the real story on Carnival and Mardi Gras in New Orleans. What they discover is a romp through the history and culture of Mardi Gras that involves the audience in a wildly amusing and educational show for the entire family! Co-starring Margeaux Fanning and Stephen Denning.
For nearly 30 years, Professor Carl Nivale and Grand Marshal Marty Graw have been a welcome part of the coverage every Carnival season on the WWL Eyewitness Morning News since 1996. Frequently seen at Gallier Hall narrating parades, as well as celebrity guest marchers in the Bosom Buddies & Breast Friends, Krewe of Barkus and the Krewe of Mardi Paws parades.
The historic Lagniappe Theater at Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts was originally the first movie house in Kenner in the 1930s, and was converted into a legitimate theatre in the 1980s as Kenner Little Theatre. This intimate space is a perfect location as there isn't a bad seat in the house. Wheelchair and walker accessible. Flexible seating arrangements.
