This benefit fundraiser is glad to announce a special musical guest artist, Rob Scheps and his quartet. Link to his website with extensive credits listed at the bottom of the page.

In memory of Michael Vincent Rosen-Pipitone our MVRP Foundation is created to raise funds to support young adult artists with scholarships and grants and advocate and support mental health programs.   We work with organizations that Michael was associated with, as well as new places that share a philosophy of our mission: Creating A Kinder World Through Art and Humor. We find those students who exhibit character qualities demonstrated in their actions towards others. We help the community by bringing performers together and sharing art. In addition, we help build community by creating a network of artists in support of our shared values and causes.

You can make your tax deductible donation here knowing that your funds will be used to help support the programs and students. With your donation you can also indicate that you want to donate a free ticket as a scholarship for a student to attend the performance.  Help us continue to raise funds to meet our goals. This year, our annual goal is to raise $25,000.  We are one third of the way there.

Our initiatives include supporting students and programs at the Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) to help fund their film and theater department and Clubs, providing student scholarships to the Peoples Improvisation Theater (The PIT) called the MVRP PIT Scholars, donating to Jazz Power Initiative, All-stars Youth with The Castillo Theater and we provide financial donations to NAMI NYC metro (National Alliance on Mental Illness) whose organization provides mental health resources and programs for the community. We bring awareness and help end stigma.

Michael's passion was art and people. As a talented actor, writer, artist and comedian Mike's desire was to share his art and help to make the world a kinder more thoughtful place. We come together in celebration and in memory of Michael's short life, which tragically ended on May 25, 2013 at the age of 21. He died from a treatable side effect from a medication he was taking, while he was in the hospital.  Many young adults face challenges with mental health. With our scholarships and donations to the Arts, we give artists a voice of expression. We believe engagement with art can affect ones feeling of affiliation, acceptance and community. Art can help in a powerful way to find solutions, offering alternative ways of thinking about problems and enlighten minds.    Michaels goal was to communicate joy and love and humor, through the arts. He wanted to awaken the minds of others and get people to think and question and see the world in new ways, from anothers point of view.  Your caring donation, big or small, can help us accomplish this.

Donate to promote kindness and empathy, the way Michael Vincent Rosen-Pipitone lived....helping to make the world a better place, a more thoughtful place, a kinder place. We strive to live our lives with Michael as an inspiration. We appreciate your contributions. We appreciate you sharing your ideas with us.

We invite you to join our fundraising team, become a sponsor, and share what we do with others. This can greatly increase our impact.
