Seed Saving Workshop and Harvest Celebration
Experience the joy of saving your own seeds and having them ready for planting the following year!
The Gardens Edge has pioneered seed saving methods in Guatemala and will share their wisdom with us. Founder Sarah Montgomery and her associates from Guatemala will demonstrate best practices for preserving seeds from plants at the Sonoma Garden Park.
Bring your favorite fruits and vegetables and learn how to preserve their seeds. A harvest celebration will follow, giving participants a chance to meet our guests from Guatemala and hear their story of creating backyard farms in the Mayan Highlands. Light refreshments will be served and music will provided by the Batacha Quartet.
$15 per person. $25 per couple.
