Soapstone Carving Workshop for Youth
Instructors will guide participants through the process of shaping this beautiful, natural material into a figurine to take home. Participation is free and the soapstone and all necessary tools will be provided. Two sessions are scheduled for each day, beginning at 10am and 1pm, respectively. Each session will be limited to 50 participants, so please register early. Youth must be accompanied by an adult for check-in.
This event will be a wonderful opportunity to combine handiwork, mental focus and three- dimensional thinking, all while enjoying the stunning surroundings of Seattles historic Japanese garden park.

The pathway to the Terrace Overlook has recently been updated to be more accessible. Use the entrance directly in front of handicap parking for the most accessible route. There is a slight incline to reach the Terrace Overlook.
