Fulton County Fair Cory Jackson Concert

The Fulton County Fair Concert will feature a return performance by Cory Jackson. The 2020 Concert had restricted attendance because of the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope to fill the Salem Civic Center this year. Cory is an independent singer, songwriter, musician and all-around entertainer that is making the quest to bridge the gap between todays modern country and the classic sounds of the past with his compositions and performances. Cory was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas and grew up in a small rural farm just outside of Jonesboro and attended Westside School. In his early teen years, he began living his big dream of performing for fans on a big stage. Cory credits his Grandpa for the encouragement to take his music a little more seriously when he was in high school and to play more and write songs.

Cory is right at home in front of a crowd and has a natural ability for connecting with the audience, both young and old. With a wide spectrum of song choices filling the set list that include George Strait, Merle Haggard, Alabama, Brett Eldredge, Chris Young and Keith Urban just to name a few. The audience will walk away having heard something that they are familiar plus a few of Corys originals. Cory has achieved many accomplishments from his back-to-back winnings of independent artist competitions in 2016 and 2017 that were sponsored by the world renowned and legendary country radio station, WSM-650AM in Nashville. In June 2018 the Arkansas Country Music Association awarded Cory the Country Artist of the Year award and received a top five nomination for Entertainer of the Year. He is a nominee for the ACA Country Artist of the Year again this year.

Cory made his national debut on NBCs The Voice in the fall of 2019 where he picked Blake Shelton as his Coach and gained fans from all over the United States with his rendition of Glen Campbells Galveston..
