Intro to Meditation & Mosaic Meditation Altar

Studio owner Katie Packham leads this full day retreat focused on Meditation.
We will begin the day with a lecture and discussion on what meditation is, the various styles of meditation and ways that you can incorporate meditation in your daily life. this will be followed by a short guided meditiion and light movement, Bring a sack lunch that we can either share together on the lawn outside weather permits or in the studio (socially distanced). This class is limited to five students.

In the afternoon, we move to the mosaic studio to create a mosaic altar that students can take home to use with their new meditation practice. NO experience is necessary (for mosaics or meditation!) and all supplies are included.

In adition to being a mosaic artisist and instructor, Katie is also a Reiki Master and Yoga instructor. With many "tools" in her tool belt, she has created Copper Cat Studio, a healing arts studio in Sparks, NV as a refuge for students looking to nurture their souls through creativity and community.

Please note our Cancellation Policy: Preregistration is required for all classes including payment in full. A full refund is available for cancellations up to 7 days before class, half refund 2-7 days before class. No refund within 48 hours of class. If there is a waiting list or you can find someone to fill your spot, we will offer a credit for another class or full refund minus paypal fees if applicable.

COVID-19 Safety protocol: For the safety of teachers as well as students, we will be requiring anyone in the studio taking classes or shopping, to wear masks and keep their hands clean. Students can go outside to take breaks and get fresh air during class, but must be masked at all times inside the studio. If you anticipate this being too cumbersome please wait to register for a class at a later date when these restrictions are lifted. Classes will be limited to six students as we ease into reopening. Studio and common tools will be sanitized after each workshop.
