Girls Night Out
This not-for-women-only event promises something for everyone! The Redondo Beach bookstore community room will be set up as a holiday boutique to help you get your holiday shopping done early! Some of local entrepreneurs will feature gifts for the season and we will have a number of authors for you to meet.
This year's Girls Night Out also features a Cheese 101 course (a little history, how it's made, what to pair, ways to serve, how to store, and more!). Rob Graff will be teaching the class. He manages a cheese shop in San Diego called Venissimo and teaches classes at their "Academy of Cheese." Check out: Venissimo.com.
Poet and special friend Kim Dower will be talking about her new book, Slice of Moon, and will give her insight into how poetry fits into the world of literature. Kim is well known in LA for her literary and media services company, Kim-from-LA.
Dana Goodyear, the author of Anything That Moves, is a staff writer for The New Yorker. Her debut, which will be released just one week prior to our event, is subtitled "Renegade Chefs, Fearless Eaters, and the Making of a New American Food Culture." Enough said.
There are more surprises in store ... and wine will certainly be one of them!
