Square One Storytelling - Wednesday - July/August 2020 ONLINE CLASS
ALL SUMMER CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS ARE NOW ONLINE DUE TO THE SHELTER IN PLACE ORDINANCE.
Build your story from the ground up with resident Field Museum storyteller and Story Sessions producer Jill Howe.
The course is founded on the principles of the critically acclaimed Lincoln Lodge, a national leader in cultivating and developing new comedy talent. Join one of Chicago's top writers/performers, Jill Howe for a course in basic storytelling offered by the locally and nationally revered Lincoln Lodge, Chicago's top stand-up and variety showcase.
Jill Howe is the founder and producer of Story Sessions, a showcase featuring true stories, live music, and real-time illustrations since 2013. Jill has facilitated a monthly storytelling group Friends with Words for the last six years, organizes and teaches Story Sessions writing retreats, and presented a Tedx Talk focusing on vulnerability through storytelling. She shares her stories at bars and theaters all around Chicagoland. Also, after recently becoming a resident storyteller at The Field Museum, she develops kid-friendly true stories about beloved animals who need to have their memories dusted off.
The class requires no previous performance or writing experience and culminates with a presentation of the material developed in class.Grad show date TBD upon reopening of The Lincoln Lodge Training Center which is currently closed due to the Illinois Shelter In Place Policies

Grad show date TBD upon reopening of The Lincoln Lodge Training Center which is currently closed due to the Illinois Shelter In Place Policies. Following guidance from the City of Chicago with regards to the current Corona Virus situation and with concerns for the health and well being of our patrons, performers and staff The Lincoln Lodge will be closed until further notice.
All students will receive an email no later than one day prior to their class start date which will include a Zoom link and all information on how to access this online class.
REFUND Policy: Full refunds are available any time up to 5 days before the first class commences. Refunds after that time are at the course administrator's discretion.
ROLLOVER Policy: If you are not able to participate in class after registration and the refund window has expired you can potentially roll your registration over to the next course session provided space is available. This is subject to course administrator's discretion and a $40 administration fee. Please note there is NO facility to rollover classes once you have attended ANY classes.
