CONVENTIONAL TO ORGANIC - Transforming Landscapes to Preserve Our Water
Forum Presented by Lake Agawam Conservancy (LAC)

FRIDAY, JANUARY 17 | 10 AM-2:30 PM | FREE

Advance registration appreciated.

The teens are behind us; toxic local water bodies remain with us. The twenties are our future.  Safe, healthy landscape practices need to be in our future which means transitioning from conventional landscape practices to toxin free property management.  This will require knowledge and an understanding of our impact on our own properties and clients properties.  This educational forum, hosted by the Lake Agawam Conservancy, will include presentations by local experts who have decades of hands on experience with creating beautiful healthy ecosystems on clients properties.  Topics will include a brief review of why our water system is vulnerable to contamination and sources of contamination, best toxin free practices  soil management, water use, plant selection, buffers at waters edge, comprehensive overview of integrated pest management (IPM) practices throughout the year.  Lunch and an extensive Question and Answer session will be part of the 5  hour program.  This event is free, but reservations are absolutely necessary.
