The Heifer Belles and Lonesome West

The Colfax Theatre is proud to present a wonderful night of toe-tapping, boot scootin, sing-along music with a double billing featuring two award-winning Country Music bands.

LONESOME WEST is a new Americana (Alt-Country Twang) group based in Roseville, CA featuring original songs by Johnny Low of Arizona's Wayward Saints and a broad selection of the best Americana/Country Rock: deep, dark, whiskey-soaked country songs, upbeat rockabilly, bluegrass, and country-rock tunes from The Byrds through Steve Earle, Ryan Adams, Calexico to Jason Isbell and many others.

Paul Sutherland (Locked and Loaded) on pedal steel, dobro and anything stringed
Ray Yukich (Sooo many bands!) on bass
Charlie Nickrenz (Big Iron, the Action Zone) on drums and vocals
Johnny Low (Wayward Saints) on guitar, vocals
Jim Leslie (Dale Watson, Garratt Wilkin, and the Parrotheads) on guitar, vocals

The Heifer Belles- Have quickly risen through the local and regional ranks as a highly entertaining and talented group of musicians. Described as "original back "porch" Americana the Heifer Belles featuring Juliet Gobert guitar/vocals, Kim Rogers pedal-steel guitar, and newest member, Toni Valenta bass/vocals have become an in-demand act performing in many venues and have earned prestigious billings at larger festivals (Kate Wolf and Strawberry). Juliet Gobert is a prolific and talented songwriter and comparisons to Emmylou Harris are not without merit!
