Sam Burchfield w/ special guest Apricot Blush

It's that time again! Nance Life Lounge is EXTREMELY excited to announce that Sam Burchfield (along with his full band) and Apricot Blush will be joining our music family on July 19 for a can't miss show! As always, tickets are $30 and will include light snacks, beverages, and live music! Although not required, we encourage attendees to bring a snack or appetizer to share! Show is 18+

Sam Burchfield is a southern folk/soul artist out of Atlanta, GA. His lyrical depth paired with a soulful vocal delivery and catchy melodies drives home the message. Burchfield transports listeners into a wide array of musical truths, commanding the stage with a joyful honesty. His latest EP, Unarmored, digs a few layers deeper into a genre-crossing career that has only just begun. From folk, to funk, to southern soul -- Sam and his band of "Scoundrels" capture it all. The rowdy crew puts on a show that is electrifyingly entertaining and yet full of Burchfield's lyrical honesty and depth.

After cutting his teeth in the indie music hub of Athens, GA, Sam planted new roots in the nation's R&B capital of Atlanta. Sam and the Scoundrels have now made ripples in the southeast, and continue to grow a loyal fanbase with their passion for music and camaraderie for each other.

According to the Greenville Journal, Greenville, South Carolina's Apricot Blush wasn't actually a band until after their first self-titled album. Jackson Wise essentially wrote and recorded all 10 songs himself. After this release, the unexpected strong response to Wise's music created a need to play his songs live. Thus, the band Apricot Blush was born.

Apricot Blush's music is described as being emotional but immaculately played folk-pop with near orchestral arrangements in a similar mold to that of The Decemberists. Their music is more cinematic and dynamic, moving from spare, acoustic guitar interludes to haunting full ensemble moments that weave acoustic instruments and vocal harmonies around one another.
