Award-winning singer-songwriter JEANNE JOLLY is invigorating the music scene with her heartfelt lyricism, heavenly range, and soulful folk-pop beats tinged in Appalachian Americana. With her unmistakable signature voice, she is carving out music without boundaries that pulls from her classical training and folk sensibility. Audiences all over the U.S. are fast becoming impressed with her songwriting, her strong country belt, and her ability to quickly shift to the dusky lilt of Allison Krauss combined with sophisticated jazz phrasing. One can only guess that her vocal dynamics and songwriting range come from a performance history as the featured vocalist with Grammy Award-winning jazz trumpeter Chris Botti, getting a Masters in classical vocal performance from New England Conservatory, and growing up in North Carolina with a deeply rooted love for bluegrass, classic country, and jazz.

Jeanne's new album, "Angels," debuted in the top fifteen on the iTunes Singer Songwriter Chart and has garnered praise for its depth of sweetness and sorrow that can fit any mood and strikes a chord with a variety of music fans. Her songs reflect on the angels that affect all of our lives, leaving the definition of "Angels" to the listener. It is a grassroots album to really sink your teeth into, defined by the soul-infused single, "Sweet Love," thoughtful ballads like "Good Man," topped off with her feisty alt-country romp, "The Hard Way."

In 2012 Jeanne embarked on a tour of the Pacific Northwest, where she headlined the Sweet Pea Festival of the Arts and the Red Ants Pants Festival alongside the likes of Rodney Crowell, Emmylou Harris, and Billy Joe Shaver. She returned to North Carolina as a featured performer at the NC State Fair followed by her national "Angels" Album Release Tour including a stop at SXSW. "Angels" can now be heard on various Americana and Triple A stations throughout the U.S. and Europe. 2013 has already seen Jeanne touring throughout the United States, playing before delighted festival and club audiences. Jeanne and her trio will embark on a national tour this summer, with a stop at Sandywoods!

STEVE ALLAIN, born in Marlborough, Massachusetts to French-Canadian parents, was raised on country music and Elvis Presley records. He always daydreamed about playing in a band. When Steve was nine, his family returned to New Brunswick, Canada. Family get-togethers with uncles, aunts, and cousins gave him his first experiences with live music.

In the years to follow, Steve spent most of his free time immersed in music. Listening to everything that he could get his hands on and playing guitar sparked his interest in writing and performing music. He eventually graduated from The Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California, and later received a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in music. These years helped to shape the musician/composer/songwriter that he has become. Not limited to playing in rock bands and jazz quartets, Steve also composed for classical and experimental ensembles. This melting pot of styles continues to shape his musical approach.

Not one to be pigeonholed, Steve has returned to songwriting armed with years of experience and diversity, creating a smart and unique blend of music that is widely varied, yet highly accessible to a broad audience. His album "thirteen," released in May 2011, has garnered much praise and attention. This well-crafted album cuts across acoustic blues, country, and folk genres.

Steve has earned the respect of many notable peers. He has been praised for his excellent musicianship and soulful voice. He is a must see live. Don't miss him at Sandywoods when he opens for Jeanne Jolly and her band!
