2-day Flamenco Dance Workshop in Durham, NC

Rhina will be back to Durham to teach 2-day flamenco dance workshop! There is an introduction to flamenco class for those who are curious about learning flamenco dance. Also in other two classes we will work on techniques, understanding palos, and communications.

Class description of Cuadro flamenco:
Cuadro flamenco class is where a group of dancers* and musicians will work together to make a complete and effective piece(s). We work on the following points and when necessary, we will also work on compás and techniques. (It is also a great opportunity for those who dont have a complete piece to learn about different palos, compás, structure and elements of dances, etc.)
1)Structures: well take a look at the structure of palo(s)
2)Communications: well discuss how the communication works between dancer and musicians
3)Details on what can be better for dancers and for musicians

*it can be a piece by a group but working on the solo piece is recommended. That said, if the group has various pieces, each dancer can try a different one (and others can observe/take notes on that particular piece) so that all the pieces that the group has can be worked on.
