Three virtuoso musicians that bring every ounce of their musical roots to create one of the most invigorating concert experiences you will have this year. Last year, Sonny Rollins hand-picked James to perform at a tribute in his honor--that's how deep James is. And we challenge you to find a more synced and nimble rhythm section than Luke and Trae, two leading lights on the DC creative scene. GETTING THERE:
73 See Gallery is located at 73 Pine Street, a few doors south of Glenridge Avenue in Montclair. Easy access from the highway or public transit. By NJ Transit, take the Montclair-Boonton line to Bay Street--the only station in town that's open on weekends. Exit train at front, walk down platform to Glenridge Avenue, turn left, walk to traffic light, turn right onto Pine Street. 73 See Gallery is a few doors down on the right. You'll see a sign on the sidewalk. Less than five minutes, train to gallery.

James Brandon Lewis (b.1983 Buffalo NY ) is a critically acclaimed saxophonist, composer, recording artist and educator. Lewis has received accolades from New York Times, Q Magazine and cultural tastemakers such as Ebony Magazine, who hailed him as one of the 7 Young Players to Watch in today's scene. Lewis has shared stages with Ken Filiano, Darius Jones, Jason Hwang, William Parker, Richard Davis, Hamiet Bluiett, Hamid Drake, Ravi Coltrane, Jimmy Heath, Jamaaladeen Tacuma, Joe Lovano, Dave Douglas, Marc Ribot, Anthony Coleman, and many others. Lewis has been endorsed by legendary saxophonist Sonny Rollins. Promising young player with the potential to do great things, having listened to the Elders. Jazz Magazine (France). The New York Times: "...raw-toned but measured. Doesn't sound steeped in current jazz academy values. There's an Independence about him." Lewis Leads numerous ensembles and is the Co-Founder of the poetry-music ensemble Heroes Are Gang Leaders. He attended Howard University and holds an MFA from California Institute of the Arts.
