Japanese-style rope bondage (Shibari/Kinbaku) is hot, beautiful, and reallllly sexy. Come learn the basics in a fun, supportive environment with Seattle Shibari!
In this two-hour-workshop, we'll explore several different foundational techniques and ties used in Shibari, including limb ties, body harnesses, and different ways to incorporate rope into your own sexy play. We'll examine anatomy & safety issues associated with rope bondage, and learn tips & tricks for tying your partner smoothly. Each duo/couple will receive a printed handout to accompany the workshop.
Prerequisite: None. This workshop is appropriate for all genders, sexual orientations, and body types.
Please wear clothing suitable for being tied in. No nudity, please. A yoga mat or towel will also be nice for sitting on the floor.
Rope will be available to use at no charge during the workshop! Already have some rope? By all means, bring it. There will also be a limited amount of bondage rope from Japan available for sale at the workshopmessage for details.
Class size will be limited to 8 duos/couples Early registration is highly recommended.

About the Educator: Jonathan (Seattle Shibari) is a Seattle-based rope artist who performs on stage, ties for photoshoots, and teaches Japanese-style rope bondage. Jonathan works to spread appreciation for this beautiful art in the Pacific Northwest via his website, SeattleShibari.com. Jonathan has taught numerous sold-out workshops, and teaches & performs internationally.
