Connecticut Coast & Long Island Sound: 20,000 Years of Change on Connecticuts Shores - Patrick Lynch
Connecticut has some of New England's most beautiful coastal environments, but our shores and marine environments also face increasing challenges from urbanization, pollution, and climate change. Join author Patrick Lynch at 2 PM Sunday, March 11, at the Custom House for 'Connecticut Coast & Long Island Sound: 20,000 Years of Change on Connecticut's Shores'. This illustrated talk will look at the geology and biology of our coast, and try to place our current challenges within the context of 20,000 years of major changes in our shoreline since it was formed at the end of the Ice Age.

Patrick Lynch will also sign his latest book, 'A Field Guide to Long Island Sound', published in 2017 by Yale University Press, available in the MUSEUM SHOP.

March 11, Sunday, at 2 PM.
$12, $10 NLMS members, $8 youth ages 12-18

Patrick J. Lynch is an author, illustrator, photographer, and artist. Lynch retired from Yale University after 45 years as an interactive media designer, medical illustrator, biomedical and scientific photographer, video producer, a director of media and communications departments, and a designer of interactive multimedia teaching, training, and informational software and Web sites. Lynch is the author or co-author of eight books published by Yale University Press, including his latest book, 'A Field Guide to Long Island Sound'.
