Three of a Kind

Call it Serendipity.
One night at the venerable old Artichoke Music, my friend Ed Haynes and I were joking around that one of these days we should do a show together. You know, just 2 guys telling stories, playing our best songs. Then we figured what would be even better would be to add a 3rd person, do it In the Round, and Rich Waggoners name was the first one to come up. But then we completely dismissed the idea because Artichoke was in limbo, and no one knew if there was even going to be a new Artichoke or not.
A year or so later, I just happen to run into Rich at a gig and he says That would be a great show! As fate would have it, Artichoke now has a brand new space and with all the moving and remodeling expenses, we figured wed lay our cards down and do the show as a Benefit, with all proceeds going to Artichoke.
So that's how it came together: 3 Friends, 3 Songwriters, 3 guys who like to tell hilarious stories and write even funnier songs. It's going to be a night to remember, 'cause we're 3 of a Kind.

DAN WEBER
Award Winning songwriter Dan Weber has been described as "The Classic Mid-Life Overnight Sensation" after bursting onto the festival scene in 2010 to a standing ovation at the Sisters Folk Festival for his engaging set in the Dave Carter songwriting contest. Since then hes toured extensively across the country becoming a rare 3 time finalist in the legendary Kerrville New Folk competition, had 2 top finishes in the Woody Guthrie songwriting contest and in 2015 won the prestigious Winfield, Kansas NewSong contest for Oh Woody, his anthemic tribute to Woody Guthrie, that rose to #2 on the Folk charts in 2015.

RICH WAGONNER
Singer/songwriter and member of the band Night Folk. Rich has played bass, guitar and fronted country bands for a decade. Song style: simple truths with some humor. About songwriting, Rich says: Edit,edit,edit...sleep on it...then edit some more. If that doesn't work trash it and start over. Good ones take a lot of work. You have to earn them!
