2018 ABA Beekeeping 101 Class
The Ashland Beekeepers Association presents a four-session Beekeeping 101 Class. The course will be held on four consecutive Monday evenings starting Feb. 12, 2018 at the Family Life Baptist Church in Ashland, Virginia. An optional fifth Saturday open hive demonstration in the bee yard is included. The course consists of lectures and hands-on demonstrations.
Tuition: includes Simple Smart Beekeeping book, handouts, and a FREE Ashland Beekeepers membership for 2018. Tuition is discounted if there are multiple students in the same household (one set of reference materials per household). Minor children (below age of 18) are free but must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Registration instructions:
Each individual registration fee is $60. You may register additional (non-family) individuals by purchasing multiple registrations at $60 each. If more than one, please include each person's name when requested.
Registration fee for 2 students, all of same household is $90 ($45 each). Select Group 2 registration and purchase 2 QTY of the $45 registrations. Please include all names of attendees.
Registration fee for 3 students, all of same household is $120 ($30 each). Select Group 3 registration and purchase 3 QTY of the $30 registrations. Please include all names of attendees.
If you are already an association member or have already purchased the Simple Smart Beekeeping book at one of our meetings, please contact us at class@ashlandvabeekeepers.org for a discount code prior to purchasing your registrations.

Open hive demonstration (protective gear required)
Seating is limited and class generally sells out so please register early.

Directions:
Family Life Baptist Church is located at 206 S. Washington Hwy, Ashland, VA 23005. It is in the same building with Pepicellis Pizza and directly across the street from Captain Ds.
Take I-95 to Ashland, Take exit 92B to merge onto VA-54 W. Patrick Henry Rd toward Ashland, Approximately 1 mi, turn left onto US-1 South Washington Hwy. Go one block and the Family Life entrance is immediately after the AutoZone store, prior to the first light. Continue around the right side of the building and park in the rear.
From Richmond on US-1 North, Family Life is on left just past OReillys Auto Parts.
Park either on right side of building or in lot behind. NO PARKING IN FRONT PLEASE!

Refund Policy:
A refund in available if we receive notification at least one day prior to start of class. If notified after classes have started, but purchaser has not attended any class, any refund will be up to the discretion of the ABA. No refunds if any session has been attended.
Any refund will be reduced by the card processing fee that covered in the registration fee. ($.99 + 3.5% of your total registration).
