Winter Plant Walk PLUS Acupuncture treatment.
This is a collaborative event that includes a forest plant walk and a voucher for a treatment at community acupuncture at Community Acupuncture Project West Seattle.

Come and combat seasonal depression by drinking Douglas fir hot chocolate and learning about local plants in the forest! We will be meeting at Fauntleroy Creek Park, where Natalie will lead a plant walk in the woods where we'll learn about identifying local plants and how to use them (medicine, food and more). Yes, there are even plants we can learn about in the winter!

We'll also be handing out an informational guide detailing some herbal remedies that are used for SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder). This class is an opportunity to embrace the winter season, mingle with new people, and connect with nature in a season that it is much needed.

Your class fee includes an acupuncture treatment at the Community Acupuncture Project in West Seattle. (See more info below about their amazing services and vision).

Please bring a mug so you can enjoy Douglas fir hot chocolate (dairy free, honey sweetened).

ABOUT ADIANTUM SCHOOL: We are a small plant medicine school in Seattle offering classes on foraging, plant ID, herbalism and medicine making. www.adiantumschool.com

ABOUT CAP: The mission of the Community Acupuncture Project (CAP) is to provide high quality treatment at affordable rates to as many people as possible, and as often as necessary.  Our clinic is located in the heart of the West Seattle and we are open 7 days a week.

We treat in a community setting. Patients sit together in comfortable recliners and benefit from the healing energy from one another. One of the largest benefits of a community setting is that it is possible for friends and family members to receive treatment together and many find it comforting as the collective energetic field (group qi) nurtures the entire group.

We offer LGBTQ+ competent care and have practitioners who speak Spanish, Vietnamese and English.

CAP is member of a cooperative of community acupuncture clinics  the Peoples Organization of Community Acupuncture, or POCA. Like all POCA clinics, we offer sliding scale fees so our patients can access the treatment they need.  We aim to create a welcoming clinic environment for all members of our communities. The practitioners at CAP do not discriminate based on race, age, religion, ability, marital status, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, height, weight, national origin, language, education, HIV or immigration status.

You will find upon visiting, that there is an amazing healing power in the simplicities of people, needles and stillness.
