Fall Harvest from the Swamp - Cooking Class

Starting Fall 2017, Nimai's Kitchen partners with The Wooly to present a new cooking class series, Those Who Sauté Together Stay Together: Healthy Cooking Classes for Downtown Gainesville.

All of the classes will be enthusiastically led by Nimai, offering her vegetarian culinary experience and inclusive atmosphere.

The first classes of the series with be your choice of November 8th or 15th. The theme is Fall Harvest from the Swamp - and will be paired with a exclusive First Magnitude beer tasting! We will be cookin' up a couple of Thanksgiving-inspired dishes prepared in a tasty, yet healthy way.

-Mashed Potatoes with Rosemary Pine Nut Gravy
-Maple Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Cranberries
-Spiced Acorn Squash Butter

$35 includes the class, a light snack to munch on while cooking, iced tea or soda, and a beer or glass of wine. During the class you will consider new methods of vegetarian cooking for Thanksgiving. You'll also get to take home one of Nimai's original recipes. Come prepared with an apron!

About Nimai:

With enthusiasm and confidence, Nimai teaches cooking and nutrition to local Gainesville communities. Her goal is for everyone to feel empowered in the kitchen through teaching the essential skills for cooking, baking, kitchen safety, and an understanding of the healthy ingredients used. Through her cooking career, she has taught people, young and old, anywhere from age 3 in a rural Montessori school to adults in Gainesville, Washington DC, Detroit, Melbourne and New York City. Complete a delicious dish through her gentle guidance, teamwork, and having FUN!
