401: ON-CAMERA ACTING & SCENE STUDY
Teaching Artist: Grant McGowen
In this 8-week class, you will learn the skills necessary for working on camera in film and television. You will learn how to break down a script, build believable characters from the ground up, and execute every shot from the master to the close up. Each week, you will shoot a scene in class and will utilize playback to discover how to improve your acting with work that is specific and grounded in emotional truth. McGowen combines techniques and influences from some of the most important acting teachers. He also brings a unique perspective as a working professional director, cinematographer, screenwriter, and actor himself.
