About this workshop:
Led by Ira Gardner, photographer and career-planning instructor, this workshop will help you develop an effective communications strategy for yourself and your work. Students will explore the basics of branding, including brand archetypes, logos, and typefaces, and how to use your online presence to build a platform and successfully promote yourself and your work.

Topics covered include:
How to develop a comprehensive marketing plan
How to choose words that describe your work
How logos and typefaces communicate your brand
How to use your website, social media, and email to promote your work
Brand archetypes and the psychological factors that impact buyer behavior
Personal productivity tools for customer relationship management

About the instructor:
Ira Gardner has been a full-time professional photographer since 1989 and has been teaching career planning and portfolio development for photographers for 19 years at Spokane Falls Community College. From 1994 to 2005 Ira worked with photographers and graphic designers all over the country as a business management software developer and consultant. He is currently a member of the Richmond Artist Collective.

CANCELLATIONS & CREDIT POLICY

Artist Trust reserves the right to cancel any program. If cancelled, a full refund will be applied. If a participant needs to cancel for a paid program, the following policy will apply:

A full refund can be issued through Brown Paper Tickets if notified 5 days prior to the program date.

A transfer credit of equal or lesser value can be issued if notified within 48 hours of program. Credit will be valid for up to 12 months.

Artist Trust cannot provide refunds for missed classes. Please contact the coordinator if you have any questions regarding specific content of the workshop.

These refund policies are in place because workshops have limited space and this is intended to ensure we are able to offer the space to another attendee if notice is provided far enough in advance.
