SHANA TUCKER: "The Pillow Sessions" NYC House Concert

Join us on SATURDAY, JANUARY 26, 2013 at 8:00 PM for an intimate evening of acoustic ChamberSoul a lovely pastiche of jazz-folk-pop inspired originals and arrangements by singer-songwriter and cellist SHANA TUCKER. This "unplugged" style house concert offers listeners the opportunity to experience Shana's music in 3D; see, hear, and "feel" the energy her trio radiates as Shana weaves stories of love, laughter, and life through thoughtful lyrics and transcendent melodies.

"The Pillow Sessions" is a clever concept of BYOP (Bring Your Own Pillow) to ensure that guests have a comfy place to enjoy the performance. It will be presented at the uptown Manhattan domicile of photographer/graphic designer and host, Scott Ambrosino. In addition to the performance, guests are invited to enjoy lite fare, wine and beer as the evening unfolds. CD's and other merchandise will be available for purchase following the concert.

ABOUT SHANA...
Transcending genre limitations, SHANA TUCKER is a distinctive cellist and singer/songwriter whose music is an instantly captivating, sultry pastiche of acoustic pop and soulful, influenced contemporary folk. Her debut solo recording, SHINE, and a subsequent interview on NPR grabbed the ear of Cirque du Soleil's découvreur de talent who whisked her to Las Vegas in 2011 to join the world-class musical ensemble as cellist and mezzo-soprano for KÀ, their unprecedented, gravity-defying production at the MGM Grand. Shana now balances mainstage performances in listening rooms, performing arts centers and festivals throughout the country with her continuing role for Cirque du Soleil.
