Max presents "Smooth Rope - Making Your Bondage Work Better"
Some tops make it look easy. They're smooth, competent, and in-charge when they rig.
How do they do it? More important - how do YOU do it?
It's not magic. These are discrete skills that can be learned and practiced.
- Finger and body movements
- Using tension
- Creating and avoiding friction
- Moving rope
- Controlling the rope ends
- Planning ahead
- Learning how to be ad hoc
This workshop is very hands-on and you'll have plenty of time to practice and enjoy what you've learned. And, as always, the handout distributed at the workshop will help you when you practice at home.
If you can, come with a practice partner. If you don't have a partner, come anyway and we'll make sure you get a chance to practice the basic techniques. Rope Bottoms - this is your chance to meet some rope tops - come learn and get tied up!
Loaner rope will be available, but bring the following if you can:
(1) 15-20 foot piece of 4mm rope
(1) 10-30 foot piece of 8mm rope
(3) 30 foot pieces of 6mm rope
This workshop assumes no previous bondage experience, and is appropriate for all genders and orientations.

Max has been active in Seattle's kink community since 1992 and has been teaching bondage, BDSM, and polyamory workshops since 1999.
While he is proficient with a wide range of BDSM skills, Max especially enjoys the intimacy of rope bondage and the intensity of the singletail. Max projects a gentle, dominant energy, and all of his relationships - and most of his scenes - include a substantial d/s component.
Max's love of teaching shines through his workshops, and his love for people informs his personal encounters.
