New Vaudeville Holiday Spectacular at the Shea!
What happens when you take an entire festival and jam it into one amazing evening at the Shea Theatre by asking performers to create something upon the theme of GRACE? A crazy wonderful New Vaudeville Holiday Spectacular, that's what! Tickets $15 and kids under 15 free! (Children don't need tix - just check in at the box office.) SPONSORED BY TEDDY BEAR POOLS!

December 15, 16, 17, at 7:30 and Sunday, December 18 at 2:00 pm at the Shea Theatre.

When venues for their Full Disclosure and Double Take Fringe Festivals disappeared or became too expensive at the same time the artists they love working with multiplied and expanded, the folks at Eggtooth Productions had an idea. What if they did the same thing as their festivals but tucked all the acts into one magnificent evening? The response was terrific and so the New Vaudeville Holiday Spectacular was born. And what a line up! The acts include: dance, theater, installation, cabaret, music, puppets, drag, à cappella music, and monologue. Each offering is 5-7 minutes long and the theme of the evening is Grace.

The cast of characters participating in the event include: Joshua Platt, Katherine Adler, Emily MacLeod, Rachel F. Hirsch, Anna Sobel, Maya Rivera, Meghan Zaremba, Emily Ditkovski, Anuva Kolli (Thurs/Fri), Lindsay Stamler (Sat/Sun), Amy Johnquest (AKA Bannerqueen), Joe Dulude, Emma Ayres, Pam Smith, Maureen McElligott and Company, Jack Golden, Lindel Hart, David Fersh and Art Fuleuhan, Joe Graveline, Grace Booth and her new company Til Lalezar Theater Company, Lori Holmes Clark, Nate Martel, and Kyle Boatwright.

Said McInerney, The way it works is that we put out a request for proposals on social media and through email blasts for short performances that embraced the theme of Grace. We had a great response. So the evening will be broken up into 5-7 minute pieces that display all different art forms but the uniting theme of Grace allows them to be linked in a way. I thought that the word Grace was a good way to allow for the celebration of this sacred time of year without imposing religion upon the event. So that we could all gather and experience something of meaning that is also just fun and beautiful. And I love the definition of the word grace:
noun
1. simple elegance or refinement of movement.
2. (in Christian belief) the free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings.
3. do honor or credit to (someone or something) by one's presence.

Also, we have built up such incredible momentum working with area artists to create new work over the last several years. It seemed a shame to let the festivals go just because we didnt have space for them. This is our attempt to find a home for these great artists who have exciting new material to share. And its our intention to water these new seeds to grow more and more full-length works to present throughout the Valley in the future. Thats what we love doing at Eggtooth Productions, hatching new work.

The creators come from all over the Pioneer Valley: Greenfield, Amherst, Northampton, Easthampton, Holyoke, Northfield, and Deerfield.
