American Variety with Carolyn & Alison
The Drinking & Writing Theater’s 2012-2013 season opens with the all new original show American Variety with Carolyn & Alison on August 15 at the Drinking & Writing Theater at Haymarket Pub & Brewery.
Previously, Sean Benjamin and Steve Mosqueda created all the shows performed at their theater, but Drinking & Writing is opening up the creative process to a new duo. The creators of the season opening show, Carolyn Shoemaker and Alison Connelly, have been collaborating since their undergrad days at the University of Southern Mississippi and are proud to present their tribute to the American variety show of the 20th century: American Variety with Carolyn & Alison. Performances are at the Drinking & Writing Theater at the Haymarket Pub & Brewery, 737 W Randolph St, Chicago; Wednesdays at 8pm: August 15,22,29, and September 5; and Saturdays at 4pm: August 18,25 and September 1,8.
