Shane Alexander with Navid Eliot

International touring artist Shane Alexander plays a special Yakima show, with a little help from local favorite Navid Eliot.

About Shane:

Since his debut The Middle Way in 2005, Alexander has forged a style blending west coast folk, rock, psychedelia and spirituality into a successful sound that has appeared in over 100 television shows and films.

Touring the US and 11 other countries both as a headliner, and supporting acts like Bon Iver, Jewel, John Hiatt, Suzanne Vega, Seal, Styx and Yes, the fiercely independent artist has developed a loyal international fanbase, further enhanced in recent months when 'Skyway Drive-In', a solo acoustic track from the 2013 release Ladera, crossed over 7 million streams on Spotify.

And Navid:

Yakima local, Navid Eliot, has long been a presence felt on the Washington music scene, most notably as half of the singer-songwriter duo Planes on Paper, but also as a hired road guitarist and bassist for a slew of Seattle bands you almost certainly know, but didn't know Navid was involved in. He was the booker at The Seasons Performance Hall in its heyday, and remains an active booker and venue booking consultant at Main Street Studios, Gilbert Cellars Winery, and Yakima Sports Center. Here's what Seattle Music Insider thinks about Navid's music: "a cohesive, stark showcase of unadulterated song-craft."
