Tater Tots Art and Cooking Camp
Campers will learn about the elements of art through the works of various artists using a multisensory approach that combines storytelling, cooking, art-making and engaging conversation with Maite Gomez-Rejon of ArtBites and educator extraordinaire, Eidelriz Senga.

Each day, children will discover a different artist and their art forms. They will experiment with diverse materials and techniques and cook foods inspired by the art. Each class includes lively discussion, hands-on cooking and art making, and culminates in a group feast.

Monday:  Color with Frida
Kids will learn about the groundbreaking artist, Frida Kahlo, her use of color and love of Mexican food before making full body portraits and tortillas and guacamole from scratch.

Tuesday:  Line and Movement with Pollock
After discovering Jackson Pollock, kids will learn about line and movement and participate in a group action painting before baking Pollocks favorite lemon bars.

Wednesday:  Form and Balance with Calder
Kids will learn all about shapes and primary colors and will paint and assemble a variety of shapes for their very own stabile inspired by Alexander Calder. After the art activity, they will prepare vanilla sundaes with a variety of fresh fruit in primary colors.

Thursday:  Shapes and Pattern with Matisse
