Rebecca Loebe in concert at Sundilla
Rebecca Loebe returns to Sundilla on Friday, September 29. Showtime at the AUUF is 7:30; admission at the door will be $15, but $12 advance tickets are available at Spicers Music, Blooming Colors, and online at www.sundillamusic.com. Free coffee, tea, water and food will be available, but attendees are welcome to bring whatever food or beverage they prefer.

When Rebecca first appeared at Sundilla a few years ago, we used the line the phrase "back by popular demand" is likely to become a staple when introducing Rebecca. That turned out to be an understatement, and its not a line used just by Sundilla fans. From multiple appearances with Ellis Paul and Mary Chapin Carpenter, to performances in 35 states and at least four countries, to being tapped by Goose Creek Records to record and produce 3 Nights Live and Rebecca Loebe Live, her first official live concert releases, the time between Sundilla appearances has seen Rebecca Loebe be very much in demand, by everybody. And that comes as a surprise to nobody.

Rebecca is a young singer-songwriter who grew up in Atlanta and has done time in DC, Boston and New York, now making her home in Austin, TX. She is known for her distinct voice, well-crafted songs and ability to bring an audience to her journeys, introducing them to the characters she meets and observations she makes as she travels. Rebecca has toured non-stop since 2009, averaging 150-200 shows per year as a headliner and as support for The Civil Wars, Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers, Matt the Electrician and others, including the aforementioned Ellis Paul and Mary Chapin Carpenter (worth mentioning twice!)

Rebeccas live performances have created a passionate fan base around the world. Rebecca has won numerous awards for her songwriting, including the prestigious Kerrville New Folk Award, and has received recognition for her unique, powerful voice. In 2011 she was a featured contestant (featured contestant means invited to be on the show) on the first season of The Voice, winning a spot on Team Adam and an iTunes Top 10 single worldwide with her captivating re-imagination of Nirvanas Come As You Are. Earlier this year she was ranked #9 on Alternate Root magazines annual listing of the 30 Best Female Singers in America.

Rebecca is both candid and self-deprecating, attributes that shine through in her songwriting and laugh-out-loud storytelling. Shes a grad of the Berklee School of Music and a professional audio engineer, and she was once compared to Dar Williams, Ani DiFranco and Norah Jones in the same sentence. But most of all, she writes great songs and performs them in a way that will leave you breathless and clamoring for more. And that's why were bringing her back; not just because of popular demand, but because its an opportunity we cant turn down.

So join us at the AUUF on September 29! Again, showtime is 7:30; admission at the door will be $15, but $12 advance tickets will be available at www.sundillamusic.com, and at Spicer's Music and Blooming Colors. We'll have free coffee, tea, water and food, but as always you are welcome to bring whatever food or beverage you prefer.
