Much is changing in the music industry. Major label record companies are losing money, firing people, and regrouping. Sales of physical CDs have collapsed, and digital dstribution of music has taken off. Old sources of income for artists ad songwriters are disappearing and new sources of income are taking their place. Music markets and audiences are increasingly fragmented.
