As TT The Bears was finally winding down last summer, the great pop rock band FRANCINE decided to perform again for the first time in 5 years as part of the farewell to that venerable Cambridge institution. That led to a re-thinking of the band, the fun and the music and that led to the next two Thursdays here at The Lizard Lounge. Please welcome back one of the truly great bands of the late 90's Boston Music scene. Tonight they will be joined by Slowdim who bring their power-pop and big harmonies to the carpets of the Lizard for the first time as well as the husband and wife duo The Wrong Shapes. The band sounds like Lou Reed and Nico floating on a drum machine in a sea of looped cellos and guitarsBo and Rachel Barringer make music dark introspective music with just the right amount of uplift and ache. The Boston- based guitar/cello/drum machine/vocal duo released their debut album in June 2014 and plan a series of monthly singles over 2015.
