Four One-Act Shows Performed by The Knaves of CST
The Knaves of CST proudly present four One-Act plays! We have edited and condensed these four hilarious shows into about one hour each, to bring you all of the punch lines, all of the slapstick and all of the fun! Four shows, four nights, four weddings, all in repertory over 2 weekends! Don't miss it!

-A short tale of boy meets girl at wrestling match, but then both he and she are banished to the forest by an angry duke. She goes in disguise as a boy (to avoid danger) and they meet up again, but this time as boys. In that disguise, she teaches him how to be a better potential husband to her female self. The evil duke is converted out of his banishing mania and there is a huge wedding and everyone can go home! (set in 1960s in a Yellow Submarine theme)
The Forced Marriage by Moliere
Translated and Edited by Diana Green
-Cannery, a puffed up braggart of an older gentleman, has decided that he is marrying a very cute young hairstylist named Doreen. Her father has agreed, but Cannery spends the afternoon before his wedding trying to get the advice of friends and neighbors as to whether this is a good idea. He is finally convinced not to go ahead with it, but by then the family has other ideas. Doreen (in disguise as a pirate) challenges him to a duel and thus convinces him to marry her "sister." The day ends in a wedding andCannery settles down to a life of misery as a cuckold.

- A wacky family sorts out its marriage plans for its two daughters, the topsy-turvy relationships of mom, dad, and the in-laws, and the real value and meaning of "learning." Featuring pompous poets, saucy servants, romantic-cowardly-bossy-nutty relatives of all kinds! Told with hilarious slapstick and rollicking rhyming verse, this classic comedy may even remind you of some of your own family gatherings - but we won't tell!
The Roaring Girl

-Young lovers are thwarted from getting married by a tyrannical father who threatens to cut his son off from all inheritance if he marries penniless girl. In steps Moll, a swashbuckling protector of the weak and friend to the helpless - and a girl in pants! Shocking! She and the son, Sebastian, pretend that THEY are getting married instead and, given the alternative, the father finally consents to option #1.
