Callie Lipton and Aaron Katz met at the University of New Hampshire in the fall of 2005. As members of The DEJAS these two artists are able to express themselves as singers, songwriters, instrumentalists, and producers. For the last five years The DEJAS have toured the Northeast spreading their original music everywhere from house concerts to festival stages. In 2007, The DEJAS won the Seacoast Eye on the Arts "Alternative Band of the Year" award. The band released a CD in 2009 called "Speeding Softly," which soon garnered The Dejas music licensing deals with CBS, CW, Lifetime, and MTV, in which the band's songs are incorporated into the soundtrack of television shows and movies. The Dejas' songs have appeared on "The Beautiful Life," produced by Ashton Kutcher, the Lifetime Movie "Lip Service", MTV's "I Used To Be Fat", and the CW network's "Life Unexpected." The band's future is bright, and the tight bond between Lipton and Katz is something that, to them, makes the band seem almost predestined. Fans of The DEJAS express a heart-felt connection to the music and find a warmth, honesty, passion, and humanity within the sound. Through their music Callie and Aaron express their connection to life's varied experiences, dreams, and desires.
Sarah Blacker's music is a unique blend of acoustic rock, folk, and jazz with stand-out vocals and quirky yet catchy songwriting, that set her apart from other female singer/songwriters in her genre.
