Sizzling Saturday

Sizzling Saturdays offer three fabulous workshops for new and experienced burlesquers alike. You can take just one or all three. There will be new workshops offered every month!

1:00PM-2:00PM: Core Strength for Dance with Lucie Luxe
This Pilates-based workshop will focus on proper form and technique as well as beginner and intermediate variations of basic floorwork exercises to increase strength and flexibility in your core muscles, essential to dance and movement. Participants should bring a mat and towel, this might be the sweatiest workshop of Sizzling Saturday.

2:15PM-3:15PM: Terrific Turns with Brigitte Bisoux
Love strutting around the stage, but want to heat things up with a little dance flair? This workshop will teach you the basics of dance turning technique. We will cover both turning in place and traveling turns. The class will conclude with a discussion of how to incorporate turns into your burlesque routine. No prior dance experience necessary.

3:30PM-4:30PM: A-Peeling Glove Removes with Miss Mina
You have the power to tease in the palm of your hand! Students will learn a number of exciting ways to tempt your audience by removing your gloves. Bring your own long gloves or borrow or buy a pair from us. No previous experience necessary.
