Tango Beginners Crash Course

1st week of each month, 4 hrs

Mondays from 7-9pm, followed by social dance at Asura Bistro, 235 W 35th st
Wednesdays 7-9pm for the LGBT community, followed by social dance at Asura Bistro, 235 W 35th st
Saturdays from 2-4pm, followed by social dance at Asura Bistro, 235 W 35th st

Always wanted to take a tango class, but don't have the time for regular lessons? Ready to dive in to the elegance and passion of one of the world's oldest dances? Follow up two hours of class with two hours dancing socially with staff and students at our practica. We guarantee that by the time the crash course is complete, you will be confident, dancing, and having fun!

No partner needed, no tango experience required. Leather soled shoes are required.

Program: Fundamentals, posture, embrace, feet positions, musicality, connection, navigation, Caja continuada, Baldoza, paso basico, decorations, Charleston, Ocho cortado and its variations. Etiquette at milongas (social dancing).

Classes at Pearl Studios, 500 8th ave, 12th fl.
