About Our Visiting Analyst:            
Mark Levey, MD is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Rush Medical College and a Training and Supervising Analyst at the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis.  He also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the  Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine, at University of Illinois. He has been the distinguished recipient of numerous awards including:  Edwin Eissler Prize, Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis, the James Saft Award, and two time recipient of Best Teacher award from the Michael Reese Department of Psychiatry, 1986 & 1992

Learning Objectives:
1. After hearing the presentation participants will be able to understand interventions other than interpretations from a psychoanalytic perspective.
2. Participants will be able to consider a range of analytic interventions depending on their therapeutic goal.

Who Should Attend:
The program is open to all licensed mental health professionals.  The Visiting Analyst weekend will be helpful for those in the mental health field who are curious about different means of intervention and considering the use and purpose of various types of intervention in treatment. Continuing education credits will be offered. See below for further information regarding continuing education credits.
CE Accreditation Statement 2015 - Psychologists
The Pittsburgh Psychoanalytic Center is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education programs for psychologists.  The Pittsburgh Psychoanalytic Center maintains responsibility for the program and its content.  

The State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors has extended the ability to grant continuing education credit to PPC as an APA approved sponsor, according to sections 49.36(a)(6)(ix) of Pennsylvania State Code.
This program is being offered for 2.0 continuing education credits.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the American Psychoanalytic Association and Pittsburgh Psychoanalytic Center. The American Psychoanalytic Association is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The American Psychoanalytic Association designates this Live Activity for a (maximum number of (2)  AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s). Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

None of the planners and presenters of this CME program have any relevant financial relationships to disclose.

Participants must pay tuition fee, sign in, attend the entire seminar, complete an evaluation and sign out in order to receive a certificate of completion.  Participants not fulfilling these requirements will not receive a certificate.  Failure to sign in or out will result in forfeiture of credit for the entire workshop. No exceptions will be made. Partial credit is not available.

Workshop content is not intended for use by participants outside of the regulatory scope of practice of their license(s). You are responsible for knowing what lies within and without your professional scope of practice.

The accuracy and utility of the material presented has been reviewed by our Education Committee.  While the content of the workshop or course is intended for the further education of professionals in the field, it is by no means comprehensive training and should not be considered such.  Further reading, training and consultation may be required.  No treatment should be undertaken outside the limitations of your skills and expertise.  Expressive forms of psychodynamic psychotherapy is contradicted in the treatment of some mental illness and should not be used to treat all kinds of mental illness.

No refunds will be made for inability to attend after registration.
