Hotel Diary - Staircase (SCR/DIR Natasa Prosenc Stearns, USA, 2018, 2:13. Experimental, art film.) Staircase, a segment from the film Hotel Diary, a chronicle of a long-forgotten affair set in the deserted interiors of a Los Angeles hotel is a centerpiece of the project, which, depending on the venue, takes the form of an installation or a single-channel film. The entrance/descent of a female figure layered with images of water repeats endlessly down the main stairwell of the hotel referencing Duchamps Nude Descending a Staircase.
We Are Small (SCR/DIR Fernanda Galindo, MEXICO, 2025, 10:00. Drama). Zara, a young Seri woman who sings at her community evangelical church, asks Celika to participate in a rap contest. Her friend accepts, but plans change the night of the concert, when Celika decides to follow her urge of freedom.
UNTITLED/TORSO (SCR/DIR Nataa Prosenc Stearn, SLOVENIA/USA, 2017, color, 3:35. Overlapping moving images of a female torso travel over the screen. Isolated from the rest of the body, the migration of layers creates a video collage, slowly shifting from figurative to abstract and back. A strong organic and corporeal charge changes into an optical surface through a ceremonial movement.Experimental art film.)
Beach Birds: The Shaman, The Guardian, The Journey (SCR/DIR Ivana Larrosa, USA/SPAIN, 2024, 15:00. Experimental, drama). After a car accident leaves a woman with permanent double vision, she embarks on a journey to reconsider the way she sees the world. Inspired by Merce Cunningham's piece Beach Birds, Larrosa created this dance film to invite her own healing from trauma. Guided by a Shaman and a Guardian, this deeply personal exploration offers insight into the human body and psyche, echoing the natural world where theres no division between humans and nature. A contemplative composition that weaves ritual with trance.
