SEATTLE CABARET FESTIVAL PRESENTS: BOBBI JO BLESSINGS & DEREK EISEL in "BOBBI JO AND DEREK WALK INTO A BAR..."
What happens when a farmer and a drag queen walk into a bar? You'll have to join us to find out. But, we can guarantee it will be full of singing and you'll go home full of love.
ABOUT BOBBI JO BLESSINGS & DEREK EISEL
Known as Minnesota's Hot Dish, Bobbi Jo Blessings brings the Midwest charm in full force. She has been captivating audiences for over 10 years with her penchant for live singing, bad choreography, and bold floral prints. Derek Eisel is a musician and farmer living on Lopez Island. He is the author of the book What Kind of Man, and a recent alum of cabaret school in Puerto Vallarta.
SEATTLE CABARET FESTIVAL PRESENTS: JOHN ENGERMAN in "MAKE THE MOST OFYOURSELF"
"Make the Most of Yourself" features Engerman and Jayne Muirhead on vocals, Ruby Grynberg on violin, and Dave Pascal on bass. Drawing on Engerman's vast trove of original songs, many of which have never been performed in public before, the show celebrates the process of learning to be self-reliant, to stand up for yourself, learn from your mistakes, and weather the storm.
ABOUT JOHN ENGERMAN
John has been writing, arranging, music directing and playing for theatrical productions since the mid-70s. As a composer, highlights include "Ronnie Bwana - Jungle Guide", "The Big Bad Wolf (and How He Got That Way)", "Ming the Rude" (Empty Space Theatre), "The Ballad of Mary Reade" (Bathhouse Theatre), and "Prince Brat and the Whipping Boy" (Seattle Children's Theatre). Cabaret shows featuring his arrangements of others' tunes include revues about Nat Cole, Duke Ellington, Rosemary Clooney, The Fabulous Sateens, The Sirens of Swing, and numerous one-woman shows with his wife, the fabulous Jayne Muirhead.
Showtime: 9:00 PM. Doors open at 8:30.
