The son or sound of Mexican folk music is more than Mariachi music. The music of Mexico, like its culture is colorful and rooted in the Mexican peoples love of their heritage and traditions. Come learn about the sounds of Mexican Folk music and enjoy an interpretation of classic Mexican folk songs performed by Shannon Patiño, a singer-songwriter and daughter of Mexican immigrants, along with a performance of her original Spanish music.
