The purpose of this presentation is to exhibit the University of Washington (UW) geotechnical engineering graduate program and current students to the ASCE Seattle Geo-Institute. In sharing the research and happenings in the program, this presentation seeks to highlight the skills, knowledge, and experiences of the students; to communicate the pioneering work of the institution; and to further connect the program to the local practicing community. The programs senior graduate students will offer their perspective and share lightning-style presentations on their current research, including:
Life-cycle performance of biocemented soils (Bruna Ribeiro)
High-fidelity dynamic analysis of structures with pile foundations (Amin Pakzad)
Geospatial liquefaction modeling with mechanics-informed AI (Morgan Sanger)
