Gather and Groove at Partakers 1st Annual Jazz for Justice event featuring legendary jazz guitarist Stanley Jordan.
This special afternoon of cool jazz and connection includes a pre-concert wine and goodies reception, at 4 pm, our program and concert starting promptly at 5 pm, and a post-concert gathering with dessert and coffee.
If you cannot join us lin person, we will be live-streaming the program and concert beginning at 5 pm.

Founded in 1997 Partakers works to help reduce recidivism by providing vital Mentoring for incarcerated women and men pursuing their degrees and educational opportunities. Through our College Behind Bars Mentoring Program, the powerful Mentoring relationships that Partakers builds profoundly impact our students' lives, their mentors, their families, and their communities.
Students who have graduated from the Partakers College Behind Bars Program show a 2% recidivism rate. Past studies show a 6 year national average of 79%*

In 2021 Partakers launched our new Re-entry Mentoring program, the Partakers' Empowerment Program (PEP). In partnership with Brandeis University's Educational Justice Initiative, the PEP program is designed to guide, Mentor, teach important skills, and train returning citizens to help them successfully navigate their return and launch their new chapters.
In 2024 Partakers is piloting our Partakers Reading Circle, a correspondence "Book Club" to build connection and community through a shared reading experience between Inside Readers and our Mentor Community. We are working alongside our friends at Prison Book to reach Inside Readers with selected books for each Reading Circle.
