THE LARRY STEPHENSON BAND
Highly regarded as one of Bluegrass musics most recognizable and finest vocalists, Larry Stephenson sets a standard of melody, clarity, and storytelling. Join a living Nashville legend for a night of bluegrass celebration where you will hear songs from the bands remarkable performance career.
Larry Stephenson has received prime Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music Association (SPBGMA) Awards. In 2018, Larry Stephenson was inducted into the prestigious SPBGMA Hall of Greats. He has won numerous SPBGMA awards over the years, including taking home top awards such as Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Mandolin Performer of the Year Awards. Larry Stephenson has been headlining festivals and concerts for 33 years. He formed The Larry Stephenson Band in 1989 while living in his home state of Virginia. Throughout his 33 years of fronting his own band, and over 40 years as a major touring performer, Larry Stephenson has been well-recognized and awarded by fans and his peers in the bluegrass industry. With a move to Nashville, TN in 1992, the band became fast regulars on the Grand Ole Opry. In 1996, the Virginia Folk Music Association inducted Stephenson into The Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame. Since that time, he has garnered numerous IBMA and SPBGMA nominations and awards.
Larrys crystal-clear tenor voice has provided a musical home for some of the finest sidemen in contemporary bluegrass history. Many appearances on the Grand Ole Opry and RFD-TV have made The Larry Stephenson Band a fan favorite across the US and Canada. Another part of Larrys recording career hes very proud of, are his gospel recordings. Five all gospel albums and many gospel songs recorded on his secular projects, The Larry Stephenson Band has fast become in demand at churches and gospel concerts.
AUDIE BLAYLOCK and REDLINE
Audie Blaylocks musical journey is a familiar one in bluegrass music, having grown up in an Appalachian musical family, his musical education started early and led to him sharing the stage with some of bluegrass finest and most respected artists, including first generation bluegrass character and giant, Jimmy Martin, as well as Red Allen, Harley Allen, Lynn Morris, Michael Cleveland, and Rhonda Vincent.
Audie Blaylock is an American singer, guitarist, mandolinist, and composer in the bluegrass tradition. Audie was born in El Paso, Texas, but was raised in Lansing, Michigan. Growing up in a family where both parents played music, he learned guitar at age 8 from which he charted his own course earning IBMA nominations and prestigious awards including Instrumental Group of the Year, Guitar Player of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and a Grammy nomination. Hes had numerous #1 singles on the charts, and his music has been featured as the theme song for Travel Channels series entitled Backroads Gold.
