Viola and Sebastian are shipwrecked. Viola, with the help of a local, disguises herself like a man, and enters the service of Duke Orsino. The Duke is in love with Olivia. Olivia is in love with the disguised Viola. And Viola? Well, she's in love with the duke.

Unrequited love and mistaken identities abound as the foursome journey towards a joyous discovery.
