Friends of Camp Liberty Fundraiser Sail

Come aboard the AJ Meerwald Schooner as we host our
2nd Annual Sail Party Fundraiser!

Join us to network, for drinks, a beautiful sunset, and more!

Each ticket includes one complimentary drink. We will have additional snacks and drinks for sale.

Must be 18 and up to attend.

Camp Liberty was founded in 1974 as a safe and tranquil space for urban youth to enjoy. Over the years, our day camp has evolved into an enriching sanctuary where children ages 6 and older can learn, grow, and create.

This Sail Party will raise funds for Educational Arts Team's school year Dramatic Impact literacy engagement programs in Jersey City Public Schools.

Just $5,000 brings our program to one schools' elementary grades (2nd through 5th)!

How many schools can we provide programs for? With your help we can raise vital funds to bring our strategies to many!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Following are some helpful, and even essential, things to take into consideration as you prepare to sail with us.

Sail will take place rain or shine. If it is storming, we will reschedule. No refunds or exchanges.

Plan to arrive about 30 minutes prior to departure time. We start boarding at 5:45 PM. We do not want to leave without you.

You are welcome to bring a picnic dinner aboard. We will have snacks and drinks for sail, but no dinner is served.

It is almost always cooler on the water than it is on shore so bring an extra layer with you.

Wear flat-sole, non-slippery shoes with heel straps (e.g. no high heels or flip-flops).

There is plenty of seating around the deck, all of which is hard wood. Bring a stadium cushion, or similar, for a softer seat if you prefer.

Use a shore side restroom facility prior to boarding the vessel. There is a traditional marine toilet on board which requires the use of a ladder to get to it. This is limited to emergencies only.

There is no smoking allowed on board.
