The Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island presents a new revival of Gilbert & Sullivan's Patience, the classic Savoy opera about the aesthetic movement of Victorian England.
This delightful story pits two rival artists each representing opposite sides of the artistic spectrum as they compete for the affections of a collection of wide-eyed and easily influenced fan-girls. Meanwhile, a company of soldiers who cannot understand either, but only want the affection of the ladies, does their best to stay relevant. Hilarity - and arguably some of Sullivans most beautiful music - ensue.
An updated version of one of G&S fans favorite, complete with our 18-piece orchestra, this production is sure to entertain both the traditionalists as well as a new generation of admirers of Gilbert & Sullivan.
